Jessica DeckerOver the years, Cimquest has been fortunate in being able to attract and retain quality members of our team to provide stellar service to our growing customer base. This year is no exception! We are proud to introduce Jessica Decker.

Jess is the first face you see when you walk into Cimquest’s doors as she currently sits at the front desk. She was asked some questions to help everyone get better acquainted with her. Please see her fun facts below:

  1. What are your responsibilities at Cimquest? Front desk (welcoming customers, setting up TV, name badges, answering phones and faxing); Ordering and maintaining inventory supplies for Office, Consumables, and Shipping area; Processing consumable orders; Ordering food for training classes, Open House events, and company meetings; Booking travel reservations for CQ employees.
  2. What industry do you come from? Most recently medical (I was working front desk at a dental office), but my background is in customer service.
  3. Where are you from (hometown)? Hampton, NJ – about 30min west of the office.
  4. What is your educational background? Bachelors of Arts in Hospitality Management from Stockton University
  5. How long have you worked at Cimquest? 1yr and 7 months
  6. What are your hobbies? Right now my hobbies include taking care of a baby but before that, I used to enjoy going to the gym to lift weights and swim, hiking, snowboarding, arts & crafts, camping, going to plays/theater.
  7. What do you enjoy most about your job? I like the people I work with and the endless supply of free coffee & tea
  8. What do you feel is the most important aspect of your job? Time management and being able to multi task
  9. What is your most treasured possession? I have two: Patrick (boyfriend) & Lily (daughter)
  10. Do you have any hidden talents? Yes many: I am ridiculously good a board games, singing & making up words to songs, and impersonations
  11. What is the craziest thing on your bucket list? I want to go on a hot air balloon ride, but I’m afraid of heights so I don’t know if it will ever actually happen.
  12. What would people be surprised to know about you? When I was 17 I was pulled in for questioning during an investigation of my former boss’s murder (I apparently was the last person that saw him alive that night.) That, and I can’t really do a cartwheel.
  13. What is your favorite food? Pizza
  14. Where is your favorite place to vacation? Surprisingly, I love campgrounds. I like to sit in front of a campfire on a cool night, with a good beer, and watch people and silently judge how they have their campsite set up.
  15. What is the best advice you have ever given or received? My dad – he always told me to take good care of my teeth.
  16. What is your favorite movie? There are so many good ones out there its hard to pick, but one of my top favorites is “Best in Show.”
  17. What is your greatest fear? Being anywhere in the vicinity of snakes
  18. Who is your favorite celebrity? I’m not really into celebrities and stalking out their lives, but if I could choose someone to meet and share a meal with would either be Steve Carell or Diane Keaton.
  19. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up? My mom would tell me that I said that I wanted to be a cop when I grew up so that I could eat donuts all day long.
  20. What is your biggest pet peeve? When someone takes something and doesn’t return it to the same place, or in the same condition.
