Cimquest has an extensive library of post processors and will provide these to existing customers. If any editing needs to be done, please read below to most efficiently have a post developed. To request a post processor, please contact the Cimquest post department with the control name and machine name. The following information must be supplied before any work is quoted for your Mastercam post processor:
New post requests: Modifications to an existing post
(or subsequent revisions of a new post):
  • Machine name
  • Machine model
  • Machine type (mill, lathe, wire, router, etc.)
  • Controller name
  • Controller model
  • Working sample programs of all the desired operations and cycles
  • Corresponding geometry to match sample programs (electronic or paper)
  • Diagram of machine with direction of axes
  • Any programming manuals if necessary
  • Sample Mastercam file with toolpaths
  • Marked up/corrected NC code
  • Current post file (.pst)
  • Current post text file (.txt)
  • Working sample programs of all the desired operations and cycles
  • Corrected G-code (electronic or paper)
  • Any programming manuals if necessary
Timeframe:
Initial revision ~ 4 to 6 weeks from when Cimquest receives all necessary information
Subsequent revision ~ 2 weeks from when Cimquest receives all documented changes

Post Processor development is an iterative process by both you (the user) and Cimquest, Inc. Any programs written by a new post should be both visually tested (edited and inspected) and test run on the machine tool before being put into production. Cimquest Inc is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with any post processor.
